Does the following of fashion trends still matter to people anymore?
Fashion is always evolving and incidentally so is people's attitudes towards fashion trends. There is no doubt that there is a large number of fashion lovers who follow fashion trends like a cult, they celebrate trends like a holiday. Truth is not everyone is a fashionista, by following trends you stay current. But it is becoming apparent that the mindset many people are now adopting with dressing is inclined towards wearing something with a personality.
At Sative, we believe that fashion is creativity, freedom and a sprinkle of craziness. It's about you as a person, your ability to explore your individuality and your lifestyle. Fashion speaks a lot about you. The way you dress or the way you style your clothing tells who you are. It's an extension of your identity. If you wear the same things everybody else is, where is your style? Follow a fashion trend but at the same time make it your own.
Tips for building a better wardrobe
My shopping advises for building a better wardrobe would be, to not buy into every trend but buy what you know you will wear. Be mindful of the fact that not all trends are for you and that is okay. Rather buy something that you will purposely wear and pair with almost any outfit. In most cases, you will feel self-assured of your purchase every time you differently style the look
Going back to the question, does following fashion trends still matter anymore? I feel that fashion trends just really serve as a mere guide but your style should still strongly reflect. It's what makes you, you. What looks good on you is not based on what the majority is wearing, if anything you shouldn't purposefully do what everyone else is doing. Go out there and explore different styles until you see what works best for you and your body.
